Puri Jagannath first announced Devi’s name as music director for the movie but it is now Sandeep Chouta who is scoring music for the film. The reasons for this change are still known only to the director.

Bujjigadu with a tagline ‘made in Chennai’ will be second film in Puri - Sandeep combination after Nagarjuna starrer Super. Prabhas and Trisha are once again pairing up for Bujigadu after their super hit combo movie Varsham. Bujjigadu is being produced by K S Ramarao.
